Determination of Absolute Structure of Chiral Crystals Using Three-Wave X-ray Diffraction

چکیده

We propose a new method to determine the absolute structure of chiral crystals, which is based on asymmetry multiple scattering diffraction. It manifests as difference in azimuthal dependence forbidden Bragg reflection intensity measured with left and right circularly polarized X-ray beams. Contrary existing ones, suggested does not use anomalous dispersion. The between Renninger scans X-rays has been experimentally demonstrated for 001 intensities right- left-handed quartz single crystals. A Jmulti-based code model-independent three-wave-diffraction approach developed quantitative description our experimental results. proposed can be applied various structures including opaque, organic monoatomic even only light elements.
